Richard Rose Academy

Richard Rose LogoIn November 2010 System I.T. were chosen as the preferred local supplier to work with Northgate Services to carry out a deployment of 750 Computers to be installed in to the Academy ensuring that they would be up and running when the Academy was due to open on the 4th January 2011. A team of four trained and qualified engineers led by Andrew Gray were tasked with the deployment and worked long hours over the Christmas period to make sure those targets were met.

The new Richard Rose Central Academy is one of a pair, which sits alongside the Richard Rose Morton Academy as flagship educational establishments in Cumbria. It is a three storey building set in the beautiful Eastern side of Carlisle city centre surrounded by quality streetscapes and mature trees. The materiality choices for the new Academy denote the local vernacular; pale red sandstone and mixed red brickwork feature predominantly.
It is a crisp and compact design catering for 1500 students, on a tight urban site of 2.6 Hectares.
The proposed design replaces very dated and poorly maintained group of buildings. It is a compact design solution and will revitalise the site and offer a larger and more diverse range of activities, functionality and landscaping solutions.

Richard Rose Central Academy will provide wide ranging, modern, fit-for-purpose facilities which will revolutionise the way education is delivered, and give the student of Carlisle the best opportunities to earn available.
System I T is proud to be associated in working with Northgate Services in this deployment and is delighted that our knowledge and experience has helped provide the I.T. facilities and learning environment that will aid and assist education for students at the Richard Rose Academy in the years to come.
