Course Details:
ITQ is the name for the NVQ for IT Users. The ITQ is designed for anyone who is using IT in their day-to-day work. The aim of these qualifications is to recognize the application of a range of IT user skills and knowledge in the workplace. ITQ is a very flexible National Vocational Qualification that will enable you to gain credit for the IT skills that you need for your specific job.
The qualification consists of one mandatory unit that you must achieve through evidence assessed from the real workplace. You then choose an appropriate selection of optional units that reflects your needs and opportunities.
The level of the mandatory unit decides the overall level of the qualification. You can achieve some of the optional units at a different level but at least 50% need to be at the level of the mandatory unit. There is a helpful calculator available on the e-Skills UK website which you can use to help you work out which units to take (www.e-skills.com)
- You will need to achieve a total of 40 unit values to achieve the full NVQ at Level 1
- You will need to achieve a total of 100 unit values to achieve the full NVQ at Level 2
- You will need to achieve a total of 180 unit values to achieve the full NVQ at Level 3

ITQ Format
There are 2 routes for the ITQ:
- We can offer the assessment only route where the candidate will be assessed on the job by a qualified IT assessor to gather evidence and then gain the qualification.
- We can offer a training and assessment package where the candidate will be eligible for 2 days training at our fully equipped training suite plus the one to one assessment in the work place.
